Ramayan advance booking
Advance booking for the first day of Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi-starrer Ramayan has opened across India, signalling strong early demand for the film. According to estimates cited by trade experts on Friday, first-day ticket sales have reached Rs 8.16 crore. The figure stands at Rs 6.15 crore after excluding blocked seats.
The film has received 3,944 shows for its first day, while reports indicate an occupancy rate of around 95 per cent. The advance booking began around two weeks before release during the Dussehra period. Delhi recorded the highest ticket sales for the first day.
Some ticket prices have risen as demand increased. In Mumbai, selected recliner seats for afternoon and evening shows on November 5, 6 and 7 were priced as high as Rs 3,170.
Ramayan, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, has a runtime of 3 hours and 15 minutes. Critics believe the film could receive a major response at the box office. The first-day shows are scheduled for November 5.
