Kulfi World Ranking
Cloud TV Desk: India’s traditional frozen desserts have earned global recognition after Kulfi and Kulfi Falooda were featured in TasteAtlas’ World’s 50 Best Frozen Desserts rankings (Kulfi World Ranking).
Kulfi secured an impressive 7th place, while Kulfi Falooda ranked 33rd, highlighting the growing international appreciation for India’s classic sweet treats.
Kulfi, often described as India’s answer to ice cream, received a 4.3 rating from TasteAtlas.
Made by slowly reducing milk until it becomes thick and creamy, Kulfi is traditionally flavoured with saffron, cardamom, pistachios, almonds, and rose water, giving it a rich texture that sets it apart from regular ice cream.
Another Indian favourite, Kulfi Falooda, ranked 33rd with a 4.0 rating.
The dessert combines slices of kulfi with falooda vermicelli, basil seeds, rose syrup and chilled milk, creating a refreshing combination of flavours and textures loved across India.
England’s Clotted Cream Ice Cream topped the global rankings, followed by Italy’s Gelato al Pistacchio and Turkey’s Dondurma.
Food experts believe the recognition of Kulfi and Kulfi Falooda reflects the growing global appreciation for India’s rich culinary heritage and traditional desserts.
