2030 FIFA World Cup Hosts
Cloud TV Desk : With the conclusion of the FIFA World Cup 2026, football fans have already turned their attention to the next two editions of the tournament (2030 FIFA World Cup Hosts).
The 2030 FIFA World Cup will mark the 100th anniversary of the competition. To celebrate the milestone, FIFA has approved a unique hosting model spanning three continents.
Spain, Portugal and Morocco will serve as the primary hosts, staging the majority of the tournament’s matches. However, the opening three matches will take place in Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay to honour the inaugural 1930 FIFA World Cup held in Uruguay.
The historic Estadio Centenario in Montevideo will host one of those matches, while Buenos Aires’ Estadio Monumental and Asunción’s Estadio Osvaldo Domínguez Dibb Stadium will each stage one opening fixture.
The main tournament will then continue across host cities in Spain, Portugal and Morocco. The opening centenary matches are scheduled for June 8–9, 2030, while the main tournament begins on June 13–14. The final is scheduled for July 21, 2030, although FIFA has yet to announce the venue.
As host nations, Spain, Portugal, Morocco, Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay will automatically qualify for the tournament.
Looking ahead, Saudi Arabia will host the 2034 FIFA World Cup after receiving official FIFA approval in December 2024. Like the 2026 and 2030 editions, the tournament will feature 48 teams. Matches are expected to be played across five Saudi cities, with detailed venues and the complete schedule to be announced later.
The 2030 tournament is set to become one of the most historic editions in FIFA history, celebrating a century of the World Cup across Europe, Africa and South America.
