Cloud TV Desk: Teenage cricket sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has created history in IPL 2026 by becoming the fastest batter in the world to complete 100 sixes in T20 cricket (Vaibhav Sooryavanshi record) .

The 15-year-old Rajasthan Royals batter achieved the milestone during RR’s clash against Gujarat Titans and shattered the previous record held by Abhishek Sharma. According to reports, Sooryavanshi reached the landmark in just 514 balls — the fastest ever in T20 history.

The achievement has further strengthened his reputation as one of the most explosive young batters in world cricket.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi reached the milestone during Rajasthan Royals’ IPL 2026 match against Gujarat Titans.Coming into the game with 99 T20 sixes, the teenager needed only one maximum to complete the landmark. He achieved it in style by smashing Mohammed Siraj for a massive six early in the innings. With that shot, Sooryavanshi officially became the fastest player in T20 cricket history to reach 100 sixes in terms of balls faced.

The record was previously associated with Sunrisers Hyderabad star Abhishek Sharma, who has been regarded as one of India’s most destructive T20 batters in recent years. However, Sooryavanshi’s extraordinary rise has now placed him ahead of several elite power-hitters at just 15 years of age. Cricket analysts believe the youngster’s fearless batting approach, clean ball-striking and ability to dominate powerplays have made him one of the biggest breakout stars of IPL 2026.

The Rajasthan Royals batter is also closing in on another major IPL milestone.

Reports suggest Sooryavanshi now has 40 sixes in IPL 2026 and needs only two more maximums to break the record for most sixes by an Indian batter in a single IPL season — currently held by Abhishek Sharma with 42 sixes.

In the process, the youngster has already overtaken established stars like Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant in seasonal six-hitting numbers.

Sooryavanshi’s rise has been one of the biggest stories in Indian cricket over the last two years.

Born in Bihar’s Samastipur district, he became the youngest player ever to debut in the IPL and has repeatedly broken age-related batting records across formats.

Earlier, he had stunned the cricket world by smashing a 35-ball IPL century, which became the fastest IPL hundred by an Indian batter and one of the quickest in tournament history. He also impressed during the ICC Under-19 World Cup and domestic tournaments with multiple record-breaking innings. Former cricketers and analysts continue to praise the teenager’s fearless style, though some experts have also warned about the pressure of early fame and workload management at such a young age.

Despite those concerns, Sooryavanshi’s performances have already made him one of the most talked-about names in global T20 cricket.

Many fans and analysts now believe the teenager could soon become part of India’s senior white-ball setup if his current form continues.
