India Cape Verde Match
Indian football fans could get another major international fixture on home soil. After their much-anticipated friendly against Brazil, India could face Cape Verde in another international friendly during the upcoming FIFA international window.
The All India Football Federation, or AIFF, is reportedly discussing the possibility of arranging a match against the African side.
If the plans go through, India could play Cape Verde shortly after taking on Brazil in Kolkata. The proposed fixture would give Indian players another opportunity to face an international opponent with recent World Cup experience.
The biggest attraction could be Cape Verde goalkeeper Vozinha, who impressed during the World Cup and became one of the team’s standout performers.
India are scheduled to play Brazil in Kolkata on October 3. The match has already generated considerable interest among Indian football supporters.
The possibility of adding a Cape Verde fixture would make the international window even more significant for Indian football.
According to reports, discussions between the AIFF and Cape Verde authorities are currently underway. The proposed match could be played during the international window running from September 30 to October 6.

An AIFF source indicated that discussions with Cape Verde are continuing and that the chances of arranging the fixture within the proposed window remain positive. However, more time is required before a final decision can be taken.
Until the agreement is officially completed, the fixture remains a proposal rather than a confirmed international match.
If the match goes ahead, Cape Verde goalkeeper Vozinha could become one of the biggest attractions for Indian supporters.
The experienced goalkeeper earned attention for his performances on the international stage and particularly during the World Cup. His presence would give the Indian attack a strong challenge in front of goal.
