Cloud TV Desk: India national cricket team continued their dominance in world cricket by retaining the top position in the latest International Cricket Council T20I rankings (ICC T20 rankings 2026) released on Tuesday. England remain in second place, while Australia hold the third position in the updated standings.

India, who are three-time world champions in the shortest format, currently lead the rankings with 275 rating points. The gap between India and second-placed England cricket team has narrowed slightly, with England now sitting on 262 points.

Meanwhile, former T20 World Cup champions Australia national cricket team occupy the third spot with 258 rating points. The top three teams remain comfortably ahead of the rest of the competition in the latest ICC standings.

The rankings further show New Zealand national cricket team in fourth place with 247 points, followed by South Africa national cricket team in fifth with 244 points. Pakistan national cricket team are placed sixth with 240 points, while West Indies cricket team remain seventh on 233 points.

One of the notable changes in the rankings involves Bangladesh national cricket team and Sri Lanka national cricket team. Bangladesh climbed to eighth place with 225 points, while Sri Lanka slipped to ninth after losing six rating points and now have 221 points.

Afghanistan national cricket team complete the top ten with 220 points. Meanwhile, Zimbabwe national cricket team and Ireland cricket team are positioned 11th and 12th respectively.

India’s continued dominance at the top reflects their consistent performances in T20 cricket over recent years. With another major ICC tournament approaching, the rankings are expected to play a significant role in shaping expectations among fans and experts worldwide.
