Indian Super League champions Mohun Bagan Super Giant have completed one of the biggest transfers of the season by signing Indian international winger Lallianzuala Chhangte from Mumbai City FC on a three-year contract.
The announcement was confirmed by the Indian Super League on Saturday, ending weeks of speculation over the future of one of India’s most exciting attacking players. The 29-year-old joins the Kolkata giants after spending four successful seasons with Mumbai City FC.
Chhangte arrives at Mohun Bagan with an outstanding record in the ISL. During his four-year spell at Mumbai City FC, he made 91 league appearances, scoring 30 goals while contributing numerous assists.
He played a key role in helping Mumbai City win both the ISL League Shield and the ISL Cup. His pace, creativity, dribbling ability and versatility have made him one of the most consistent Indian players in recent seasons.
At the international level, Chhangte has represented India in 55 matches and scored nine goals, making him one of the country’s most experienced attacking footballers.
