Cloud TV Desk: A shocking murder case involving an Indian software engineer in the United States has drawn widespread attention after investigators alleged that he killed his wife and later sent a photograph of her body to a woman in India with whom he was reportedly having an affair. Following a nearly nine-month investigation, authorities have arrested the accused, bringing the high-profile case back into the spotlight.
According to investigators in Washington State, the incident dates back to October 27, 2025, when Avinash Narne called 911, claiming that his wife, Raajitha Sabbineni, was locked inside their bathroom and was not responding.
Police officers arrived at the couple’s residence in Bellevue and forced open the bathroom door. They found the 27-year-old woman unconscious. Emergency responders declared her dead at the scene.
Initially, the death was treated as suspicious. However, an autopsy conducted the following day concluded that Raajitha had died from manual strangulation, prompting authorities to launch a homicide investigation.
During the investigation, detectives reportedly discovered that Narne had been involved in a relationship with a woman in India even before his marriage. According to court documents, the relationship allegedly continued after the wedding.
Investigators claim that Narne exchanged multiple phone calls with the woman on the day of the incident. Charging documents further allege that after his wife’s death, he sent the woman a photograph of Raajitha’s body.
Police have examined mobile phone records, text messages, and other digital communications, which they say form a significant part of the evidence in the case.
Another important detail highlighted by investigators involves messages sent by the victim before her death. According to court records, Raajitha had told friends that smoothies prepared by her husband often tasted unusually bitter. On the day she died, she reportedly messaged that one of the drinks tasted like “medicine” or “cough syrup.”
While the medical examiner determined that the cause of death was strangulation, investigators are treating these messages as potentially relevant evidence in reconstructing the events leading up to the alleged murder.
Following months of forensic analysis, witness interviews, and examination of digital evidence, authorities arrested Avinash Narne and charged him with first-degree murder.
He is currently being held on USD 5 million bail pending further court proceedings. If convicted, he could face life imprisonment under Washington State law.
The case remains before the courts, and no verdict has yet been reached. As with any criminal proceeding, the allegations remain subject to judicial determination, and the accused is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
