Cloud TV Desk: Kolkata is witnessing massive preparations ahead of the possible swearing-in ceremony of the new BJP government in West Bengal. The city’s airport and administrative machinery are on high alert as around 23 Chief Ministers and several Union ministers are expected to arrive in Kolkata for the high-profile political event.

According to sources, the swearing-in ceremony may take place on Saturday at Brigade Parade Ground. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and several leaders from NDA-ruled states are likely to attend the ceremony.

Administrative officials said special arrangements are being made at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport to handle the expected VIP movement. Multiple chartered flights may land at the airport within a short period, prompting authorities to introduce separate VIP corridors, enhanced security and special traffic management systems.

Security agencies including Kolkata Police, CISF and central forces are jointly preparing a comprehensive security plan for the event. Additional surveillance cameras are being installed across important parts of the city, while traffic diversion plans are also being prepared to ensure smooth movement of VIP convoys.

Political observers believe the BJP’s government formation in West Bengal is a nationally significant development. As a result, the presence of a large number of Chief Ministers from NDA-ruled states is being viewed as both a political and symbolic show of strength.

Airport authorities are also reportedly considering temporary changes to regular passenger services because of the large-scale VIP arrivals. Travelers may be advised to reach the airport earlier than usual during the high-security period.

Meanwhile, an atmosphere of celebration has already begun to spread across Kolkata. BJP workers and supporters are preparing for the swearing-in event, while decoration work has reportedly started around Brigade Parade Ground, the airport area and other key locations in the city.

With the new government set to take charge, Kolkata has now become the center of national political attention, and preparations surrounding the ceremony continue at full scale.
