Adinath Shiva Puja
Cloud TV Desk: Thousands of devotees gathered at Adina in West Bengal’s Malda district on Monday for the consecration of an Adinath Shivling and the performance of Rudrabhishek rituals (Adinath Shiva Puja) . The event witnessed heavy participation amid elaborate security arrangements due to the sensitive location near the historic Adina Mosque.
Devotees from Malda and neighbouring districts began arriving early in the morning to participate in the special worship. Priests performed Vedic rituals, Rudrabhishek and the consecration of the Shivling as devotees offered milk, water, flowers and bel leaves to Lord Shiva.
Authorities deployed a heavy police force around the venue to maintain law and order. Security arrangements were strengthened because the ceremony (Adinath Shiva Puja) took place close to the historic Adina Mosque, an area considered sensitive. Officials confirmed that the event concluded peacefully without any untoward incident.
Organisers described the ceremony (Adinath Shiva Puja) as an important religious and cultural event dedicated to Lord Adinath. The atmosphere remained devotional throughout the day with chants of “Har Har Mahadev” echoing across the temple premises as thousands sought blessings.
