In 2025, Stalin referred to Rahul Gandhi as his “brother in ideals.” This year, however, he addressed him more formally as the “Leader of the Opposition” in the Lok Sabha. The Congress has historically relied on strong regional allies in Tamil Nadu, while the DMK has benefited from cooperation with national opposition parties.
