The development has sparked debate over differences within the Congress party regarding foreign policy and national security matters.
The controversy emerged after Prime Minister Modi met President Trump on the sidelines of the G7 Summit. The discussions reportedly focused on regional security, the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, the safety of Indian sailors, and broader India-U.S. relations.
