Former Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh has been acquitted by a Delhi court in the high-profile sexual harassment case filed by several women wrestlers. Former WFI assistant secretary Vinod Tomar was also cleared of all charges, bringing one of India’s most closely watched sports-related legal battles to a conclusion.
The controversy began in 2023 when several prominent Indian women wrestlers accused Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh of sexual harassment during his tenure as WFI president.
