Pakistan High Commission
A bulldozer operation was carried out outside the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi on Thursday morning, with several structures reportedly removed by the authorities.
According to administrative sources, barricades, metal railings and several structures, including gates, had been installed outside the Pakistan High Commission and near its visa section. The authorities reportedly found that some of these structures extended beyond the officially approved boundary.
Following complaints, the concerned authorities took action and removed the structures during a demolition drive.

A video of the operation has also circulated on social media. However, the authenticity of the video has not been independently verified. The footage reportedly shows broken railings, metal structures, concrete pieces, bricks and plaster scattered around the area.
The main building of the Pakistan High Commission and its principal entrance remained intact.
The demolition operation appears to have focused on structures located outside the approved premises rather than the main diplomatic building.
Barricades, metal fencing and temporary-looking structures were reportedly among the installations removed during the operation. Officials are understood to have acted after receiving complaints regarding the constructions.
The development has nevertheless attracted considerable attention because of the already strained India-Pakistan relationship.
The timing of the operation is particularly significant. It came only days after Pakistan removed security barricades outside the Indian High Commission in Islamabad.

Just three days later, authorities in Delhi carried out the demolition operation outside the Pakistan High Commission.
Pakistan has not yet publicly reacted to the latest development.
The episode comes amid longstanding allegations regarding surveillance and security concerns surrounding Indian diplomatic personnel in Pakistan. Pakistan’s intelligence agency, the Inter-Services Intelligence, or ISI, has faced allegations of monitoring Indian diplomatic facilities and personnel.
Against this backdrop, the bulldozer operation in Delhi is likely to attract diplomatic attention.
However, according to the administrative explanation, the immediate issue concerns unauthorised structures and their removal from outside the approved boundary.
The key question now is whether Islamabad will issue an official response to the Delhi action. Any such response could add another layer to the already sensitive diplomatic relationship between the two countries.
