According to preliminary information, a group of delivery workers and dhaba employees had gathered outside Singh’s residence on Monday night. They were allegedly consuming alcohol and creating a disturbance.

Singh reportedly came out of his house and asked them to stop the noise. Instead, the group allegedly turned on him and assaulted him. He was reportedly slapped and punched repeatedly before the attackers fled, leaving him seriously injured.

Singh’s son subsequently took him to hospital, but doctors could not save him.
