Cloud TV Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decision to remain at Delhi Airport for nearly 45 minutes on Sunday has attracted nationwide attention. The move was aimed at preventing traffic disruptions for students travelling to appear for the NEET-UG re-examination scheduled later in the day.
According to reports, the NEET-UG re-exam was scheduled to begin at 2 PM. Normally, the movement of the Prime Minister’s convoy requires extensive security arrangements and temporary traffic restrictions. Such measures could have affected thousands of students travelling to examination centres across the national capital.
To avoid inconvenience to candidates, Modi chose to delay his departure from the airport rather than proceed immediately with the convoy movement. The decision was reportedly taken keeping the interests of students in mind.
