The couple announced the happy news on social media with a post featuring a tiny footprint. The simple announcement confirmed the arrival of their second daughter.
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have entered a new chapter of parenthood. Their first child, daughter Dua, was born on September 8, 2024. The couple have now welcomed another baby girl.
The arrival of their second child had been eagerly awaited by fans. Deepika and Ranveer announced their second pregnancy on April 19, 2026, through a joint social media post.
The couple largely kept their personal life private during the pregnancy. Their recent public appearances and maternity pictures had generated considerable attention among fans and entertainment followers.
Just a day before the birth, Deepika and Ranveer visited Mumbai’s Siddhivinayak Temple. Ranveer’s parents accompanied them during the visit. Deepika wore an orange and purple kurta set, while Ranveer opted for a purple kurta with white trousers.
The temple visit attracted additional attention because the couple had visited Siddhivinayak Temple shortly before Dua’s birth in 2024 as well. They were seen at the temple on September 6, two days before Dua was born.
Ranveer was also recently spotted offering prayers at Mumbai’s Lalbaugcha Raja. The actor had been seeking blessings ahead of the arrival of his second child.
Deepika and Ranveer first met on the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela in 2013. They later appeared together in films including Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat.
After dating for several years, the couple reportedly got secretly engaged in 2015. They married on November 14, 2018, in Lake Como, Italy, in ceremonies reflecting both their Konkani and Sindhi traditions.
Their first daughter, Dua, was born on September 8, 2024. The couple has generally kept her away from the public spotlight. On Dua’s second birthday this year, Ranveer shared previously unseen pictures from their maternity shoot.
With the arrival of their second daughter, Deepika and Ranveer have once again entered a new phase of family life. Fans and members of the film fraternity have been extending their wishes to the couple.
